CS Regulatory, a leading provider of regulatory compliance solutions for manufacturers and importers across the UK and Ireland, has been acquired by Munich-headquartered CERTANIA. The transaction marks a significant milestone in CERTANIA’s expansion within the industrial and regulatory services sector.

Founded in 2007 and based in Derby (UK) and Dublin (Ireland), CS Regulatory has built a strong international reputation for guiding clients through increasingly complex regulatory landscapes, offering expert advice, Only Representative services, and tailored compliance strategies. The acquisition complements CERTANIA’s existing capabilities and enhances its service offering to industrial clients across Europe and beyond.

Flint Bishop acted as legal advisor to the sellers, with Martyn Brierley, Partner and Head of Corporate & Finance—who has advised CS Regulatory for a number of years—leading the team with support from Robert Devine and George Ottewell, Solicitors in the Corporate Team.

The deal also involved Dains Corporate Finance, with Roy Farmer and Constance Host providing corporate finance advice, supported by tax specialists Adam Longmore and Jagdeep Sahota. CERTANIA was advised by Eight Advisory on financial matters and by Ashurst on legal issues.

Martyn Brierley said:

“We are delighted to have supported CS Regulatory’s directors through this important transaction. Having acted for the business for a number of years, we are particularly pleased to see such a strong outcome for the team and to have helped secure a strategic international partner in CERTANIA.”

Steven Green, Director of CS Regulatory, commented:

“Joining CERTANIA is an exciting step for us. It allows us to maintain our independent expertise while benefiting from the reach and collaboration of a strong international group. Together, we can deliver even more value to clients navigating complex global regulations.”

Ruth Green, Director of CS Regulatory, added:

“During SC & Co Holdings Ltd recent divestiture to Certania Aquico-UK Ltd, Martyn Brierley, George Ottewell and Robert Devine of Flint Bishop, expertly advised, supported and encouraged us through the entire process. All aspects were clearly explained; we were kept informed and they were highly responsive to our needs and that of our chosen acquisitor. We are extremely thankful to them for their crucial help in a successful outcome and we highly recommend them as legal support for anyone going through a similar process.”
