We are pleased to welcome a highly regarded and seasoned partner to our Commercial Dispute Resolution team at our Derby head office, marking a significant and strategic addition to the firm’s growing national footprint in the commercial litigation arena.

Sarah Burton is a highly experienced dispute resolution solicitor with over 20 years of expertise in managing a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including complex and high-value cases. She joined Keebles in 2010 as the Dispute Resolution Partner in the Doncaster office, later transitioning to the Sheffield office after the firm’s acquisition by Knights in 2021.

Her practice focuses on commercial litigation with a strong emphasis on property-related disputes. With 12 years of offshore experience, Sarah is skilled in handling cross-border and high-value cases, including partnership disputes, shareholder disputes, and professional negligence claims.

Throughout her career, Sarah has demonstrated an outstanding ability to lead on significant cases, including acting for shareholders, commercial landlords, and multinational clients. Some of her notable work includes:

  • Representing a £70 million turnover client in a reputationally sensitive case against a trade body.
  • Managing multi-party litigation involving 54 shareholders in a share sale dispute.
  • Acting for a client in relation to proceedings issued against it in the High Court for €3.5 million relating to a contract for the purchase of goods from Hungary.
  • Acting for a client from the UAE in relation to a US$ 45 million breach of contract claim.

Qamer Ghafoor, Chief Executive at Flint Bishop, said:
