The personal licence renewal process

As you may already be aware, personal licence holders who obtained their personal licences in 2009 will need to have them renewed by 31 May 2019.

Prior to making an application for renewal, further training will need to be undertaken and a pass certificate obtained. The exact format of the training is yet to be clarified by the Scottish Government who launched a consultation on this and some other matters relating to personal licence renewal last week.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your personal licence is renewed during the renewal window, which spans from 01 September 2018 to 31 May 2019.

If you are a personal licence holder and you fail to renew your personal licence, you will cease to be eligible to hold the position of Designated Premises Manager.

If you have any concerns about the personal licence renewal process, please contact us on 01332 226 151 or complete the form below.
