PPL PRS, the UK music licensing company, has announced the following measures to support businesses as a result of COVID-19:

  • Not charging customers for their music usage during the period that they are closed (temporarily or permanently) due to COVID-19;
  • Changes to payment policies to introduce more flexibility, including deferred payments for customers during this difficult period; and
  • Temporary suspension of late payment surcharges.

If your business is permanently closed due to the impact of COVID-19, PPL PRS is offering a pro-rata refund of the licence.

If your business is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak and you have already paid for your licence for this period, PPL PRS will look at the possibility of issuing credit or a refund.

Should you wish to discuss any of this with PPL PRS direct, they can be contacted on 0800 0720 808.

Full details of the measures can be found on their website here: https://pplprs.co.uk/business-update/
