Siobhan’s experience encompasses various areas of employment law, including ‘business as usual’ employment matters such as absence management, disciplinary and grievances, pay disputes, redundancies, and contract and policy drafting. She also specialises in settlement negotiations and offers strategic advice on large-scale restructures.

Her experience also includes working with clients in the education sector, where she has led on matters for schools and multi-academy trusts, demonstrating her thorough understanding of the unique challenges and legal considerations faced by educational institutions.

Some of Siobhan’s recent notable case highlights include:

  • Representing a multi-academy trust in the defence of claims for disability discrimination and constructive unfair dismissal, including progression to the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
  • Supporting a multi-national PLC energy business in the closure of its London operations and relocation to Paris. Siobhan provided advice on the application of the Acquired Rights Directive across borders post-Brexit, as well as guidance on collective redundancies.
  • Defending a large construction and property management business against complex claims for whistleblowing and automatic constructive unfair dismissal brought by its former CEO. These claims arose from an investigation into alleged fraudulent activity and misappropriation of funds.
  • Representing a high-net-worth individual in a five-week race discrimination claim against a multinational organisation, which garnered significant press attention.
