Flint Bishop has appointed corporate partner Russell Bainbridge from Knights, marking the latest investment in our Corporate Finance practice in Sheffield as the Firm continues our expansion across the North of England.

Russell joins us with more than a decade of experience advising businesses, shareholders and lenders on a broad range of corporate transactions.

His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, employee ownership trusts, corporate restructurings and governance matters. He has advised clients ranging from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to listed companies, with particular expertise across the healthcare, manufacturing and waste management sectors.

Russell’s recent deal experience includes advising on the sale of medical device manufacturer The SpineCorporation to Nasdaq-listed OrthoPediatrics Corp, supporting multiple care home acquisitions for a leading UK care home provider, and advising on a number of employee ownership trust transactions.

Building in Sheffield

Russell’s appointment comes shortly after the opening of our new Grade A office in Sheffield, forming part of a wider growth programme that has seen the Firm expand its presence across key regional markets.

The appointment further strengthens the Firm’s Corporate Finance capability in Sheffield, adding significant transactional experience to our growing team and supporting businesses across Yorkshire and the wider region.

Qamer Ghafoor, Chief Executive, said:

“Russell is an excellent addition to our Corporate team and brings significant experience of advising on complex transactions across a number of important sectors. His combination of technical expertise and commercial understanding will be a real asset to our clients as we continue to grow our corporate offering.

“His appointment also reinforces our commitment to building our presence across the regions. With our established Sheffield office and growing team in the North, we are continuing to invest in exceptional talent to support clients locally while strengthening our national platform.”

Russell Bainbridge added:

“I’m delighted to be joining Flint Bishop at such an exciting phase of its growth. The Firm has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, commercially minded advice, and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the business to build on that success.

“There is a real opportunity to develop the Corporate offering across Sheffield, Yorkshire and the wider region, supporting businesses with their strategic ambitions and helping clients navigate increasingly complex transactions.”

Flint Bishop now operates from seven offices across the UK and continues to invest in our regional footprint, people and service offering as part of our national growth strategy.
